It’s where our community unites to mingle with beloved creators, reconnect with old friends, forge new friendships, and honor the incredible work supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Since 2019, we’ve proudly partnered with Rosen Shingle Creek to curate the vacation-focused gaming experience in Orlando. However, unforeseen circumstances have led us to embark on an exciting new journey.

As We Move GCX 2024 to the One and Only
Universal Orlando Resort
Building on our successful After Party at Universal Orlando Resort, we’re thrilled to announce a monumental shift! GCX 2024 will proceed as planned, but with an incredible plot twist: we’re relocating our entire event to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Florida Soundstages!
Universal Studios Florida features several soundstages that are integral to its functioning as a real working motion picture and television studio. These soundstages are not just for show; they are actively used for filming various productions. And now, we’re creating a first of its kind experience as we set the GCX stage between two incredible theme parks.
Here’s What That Means for You
We know several of our community members have already booked rooms at the Rosen Shingle Creek, and we have ensured that this move will be as simple as possible for you! Attendees who have already booked reservations through the GCX Room Block will have their bookings canceled automatically, at no cost to them!
Not sure if you booked under the GCX Room Block?
Check your email! Every person who reserved room nights under the GCX Room Block at Rosen Shingle Creek has received an email from our team at GCX. It contains all of the details you need to know about your rooms being canceled for you, and rebooking at a lower rate with Universal Orlando Resort.
The Team at Rosen Shingle Creek is going to begin canceling all of the rooms, at no cost to attendees, on Monday, June 24, 2024. It will take them 3 – 5 business days. Once the reservations are canceled, you will receive an email confirmation confirming that their reservation has been canceled.
Room Blocks Are Open!
When you stay at one of Universal Orlando Resort’s hotels, it’s hard to tell where relaxation ends, and exhilaration begins. That’s because you’re close to the parks. And when you’re in the parks, you’re close to your hotel! That means you can take the day your way, without the hustle and hassle of planning everything down to the minute. So, you can do what you want – when you want. This is how you do Universal Orlando.
Each hotel has on-site easy transportation to Universal CityWalk and then to the Universal Studios Florida Soundstages where GCX 2024 is going to be held.

I already made a reservation at Rosen Shingle Creek, what do I do?
Check your email! You will have received an email from gcx@raredrop.co detailing everything you need to know about your room being canceled by Rosen Shingle Creek.
Can I contact Rosen Shingle Creek to verify my booking was canceled?
There’s no need to! You will receive a confirmation email from Rosen Shingle Creek between Monday, June 24 – Friday, June 28, 2024 that your room has been cancelled.
Will I be charged for the reservation I made at Rosen Shingle Creek?
You will not be charged.
Are you able to transfer my old reservation?
While we cannot transfer your booking for you, we have created a seamless process for rebooking. In the email you received from us, you’ve been provided with next steps on rebooking under the new hotel block.
I want to make a new reservation at a hotel on site at Universal Orlando Resort
We have worked with the team at Universal Orlando Resorts to create an on-property room block for GCX. Each person who had booked a Rosen Room Block will receive an email with those booking options within the next few weeks! Once our original room booked attendees are all set, we’ll open up the blocks to the larger attendee base who hadn’t booked rooms quite yet.
Will there still be discounted room blocks?
Yep! Additionally, all hotels are situated within Universal Orlando Resort, making it extremely convenient to reach the GCX Live Event at the Universal Orlando Soundstages!
How will I get from my hotel to GCX?
Each hotel at Universal Orlando Resort has transportation to and from the parks and CityWalk! Once you get to Citywalk, you’ll be escorted to the soundstages located right behind Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure to enjoy GCX! Have a park ticket or you’re a passholder? You can simply walk into the park from our live event!
