Orlando, FL (Jul 9th, 2019): Friends, family, and partners from all around the world. We at Rare Drop announced something that we could not have been more excited and nervous about. As of roughly 7:30pm EST on July 6th, 2019 we announced the beginning of the Gaming Community Expo.
This has been one of the hardest decisions Rare Drop has ever made because we do not want anyone to think we have forgotten where we started. We have not; in fact, GuardianCon and Destiny Community Meetup are where we began and where our hearts still live. We believe that the Gaming Community Expo, GCX, is the amalgamation of the five years of hard work we have put forth as well as received from our community and friends.
To be clear, nothing has changed other than the name we represent ourselves with in the public media. We feel that this is a more accurate representation of who we are. Raising around $8 million USD for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital over the past four years is still only the beginning and we will continue fundraising for this organization as our number one priority. As we continue to focus on charity, content creators, and community, we hope that we can continue to show the world that ‘Gaming Does Good.’
Gaming Community Expo will continue to be Florida’s Premiere Gaming Community Event and will take place in Orlando, Florida at Rosen Shingle Creek on June 27th and 28th of 2020. Anyone can purchase tickets now at GCXevent.com and we cannot wait to see everyone there.
